Bloggging on a decline?

It's very hypocritical of me to write about this when I myself have stopped blogging, the posts having reduced to once a year. :(

I think Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter are largely responsible for this decline in blogging. (Facebook is blamed for many things these days, poor thing!)

Internet users no longer need a blog to connect with the world.

They could prefer to post quick updates to complain about the weather, link to articles that infuriated them, comment on news events, share photos or promote some cause — all the things a blog was intended to do.
I too, prefer posting 'notes' on Facebook about , tweeting about the current status of life and other blah stuff, that too has reduced lately due to final year.
It's easier to reach out to people on Facebook., very few people would take the efforts to visit your blog regularly.

Or is it just me and my laziness to avoid writing up on thoughtful topics? What do you think about the trends in blogging?

I think it will require some sort of a radical change to revive blogging again.
Adios amigo!

P.S. Random. Found it on Tumblr, I do this so many times xD
